Inside shoes

Dear Parents and Caregivers,

We are fast approaching wet, messy, muddy weather! In order to lessen the mudstains on our carpet, we will be wearing “inside shoes” while in our classroom. Each day when your child arrives, he or she will remove the shoes that were worn from home and put on his or her inside shoes. Inside shoes can be plain slippers (with a back, please), crocs (cheap at Walmart), or slip-on shoes that have not been worn outside.

Please send your child’s inside shoes between now and October 3rd. We will begin wearing inside shoes as a class on Monday, October 3rd. This will also necessitate that shoe-tying be mastered by this time. Please work on this essential skill with your child so that we can all tie our own shoes by the end of September. Your child will change back to outside shoes for recess and to go home, and Ms. Valerie and I CANNOT tie shoes for everyone several times a day, it would just take too much time.
