The sheets that were sent home from the library are for you to keep at home for one week and record daily the minutes that your child read or was read to. If your child’s library day is Tuesday (PM), your child will bring his/her filled out sheet Tuesday morning and turn it in, and will receive a new one to use for another 7-day period. If your child’s library day is Friday (AM), the process is the same, substituting Friday for Tuesday. Each library day morning , send the sheet to school and they will be collected and sent to the library to tally minutes. There are prizes for the classes who turn in the most sheets consistently and also for minute count.
The theme that the library is doing is “Rock Band”, so “student musician” means simply “student”. Our goal is to read or be read to DAILY for 15-20 minutes. Feel free to exceed this goal!
